Testimonials

Our two sons have seen Brendan for very different reasons. Right from our first visit, we were welcomed with true compassion, on all levels, for our children and us as parents. Both our boys instantly adored him. He continued with full support every step of the way. He gave us continuous resources and alternative therapies to try. Even if one thing was working, he continued to fill our toolbox with other options. We appreciate his passion for occupational therapy and can see he truly enjoys what he does. The North Island is so fortunate to have him and his services.

I will forever be grateful that Brendan was the OT for my son’s preschool. The knowledge and skill he offered helped us achieve amazing growth and helped us navigate difficult emotions that come with accepting an autism diagnosis. But most importantly Brendan has an amazing ability to connect with kids. Something his co-workers, teacher, and other specialists I’ve worked with have all commented on. It doesn’t matter how knowledgeable or skilled someone is; if they don’t read the child and recognize the things they like and dislike and engage with them in a way they feel safe…you will get nowhere! Connecting with the child is the single most important thing, and we have seen no one do it better. Brendan loves what he does and the kids that get to work with him are getting nothing but the best! Wish he hadn’t moved away but so happy for the families who will have the good luck to work with him going forward.
